Issues

Putting Taxpayers First
Jim Bowers thinks Delaware taxpayers need a break. That’s why he’ll fight to limit state spending growth to the rate of inflation, make it harder for the politicians to raise taxes, and work to eliminate waste and fraud from the system.

Leading the Fight for Open, Honest Government
Jim Bowers is an active member of the Delaware Taxpayer Coalition, a statewide
group committed to bringing transparency to state government. As our State Representative, he’ll bring that fight to a new level – to end backroom deals and political tricks – and let citizens see what’s really happening in Dover.

Making Schools Better
Jim Bowers thinks it’s time to stop talking about education reform and start doing
it. That’s why he’ll work for initiatives that guarantee our taxes are being used to
teach kids instead of pay for bureaucracy. He’ll also work to ensure that parents, teachers and administrators – not Dover politicians – have a stronger voice in running local schools.

Controlling Development & Protecting Our Environment
Jim Bowers knows that out-of-control growth is hurting taxpayers, increasing
traffic and impacting our environment. As State Representative, he’ll work for
initiatives that let taxpayers choose to protect open space and put stronger
controls on developers. Jim will also support alternative energy innovation,
including the use of wind power, that reduces energy costs and protects
our environment.
